Stupid question but is the inertia electrical cut off switch normally open or normally closed? i.e. is it bypassed by just joining the wires?
I’m pretty sure it’s normally closed… otherwise unplugging it would make it work, and it doesn’t.

All stop buttons will be normally closed especially emergency stops
