The ITG filter fits inside the standard airbox. I have this setup.
Is this not the “works” race set up for the 340 R??
Pete are you going to post some pix?

Steady on!!!
Order tomorrow! Only get it by the metre… and need about 80cm. Sooooo perhaps 3 or 4 of us ‘K’ types might wnat a ‘group’ buy??? It is circa 60/metre but I am sure a discount would be there???
You will need the inlet adaptor for the LHS too. Should be a simple job to fit and yes I will take the before and afters!
Pete.
Ok pete group buy it is then …count me in
I have heard of plant pots being used as intake adaptors!!
Will you be at the NEC this weekend??

YES!!!
Job is 1/2 way done! Lots of moving things around to get the required space for the induction hose… such as charcole filters, ballast resistors, fuel lines, vacuum hoses and having to trim a bloody welded bolt lug off the left hand brace! (it is not on the right hand brace!!!)
Now I have a clear run for the induction hose (sorry, but no group buy as I got the last metre of the stuff… funny but a mystery man bought the other metre on friday… anyone here???)
Need to spring bend and fit the hose to the ‘plant pot’ end, then trim to size to the pipecross sitting on the carbon airbox.
Busy at work right now, but hope to have all completed by Sunday… so will post photos then!
It will be worth it!
FINISHED!!!
95% of the job is moving the various bits out of the way to make way for the hose!
A great fit, just a bit fiddly working against the internal spring force, but worth the effort I think!
Here are some photos!
Nice job Pete
One of my winter jobs is to remove the filter and give it a clean. What cleaner did you use? Where from etc?
Cheers.
Hi Graham,
Thanks!
Just lots of hot soapy water and rubbed well… and when I had finished with the other half…
I repeated this 3 times as mine was full of muck and oil. Let dry naturally too. Also gave it a vaccum and generally tried to get as clean as poss!
Bought some PiperCross cleaner and ‘Dirt Retention Oil’ from Hulfrds and applied the latter prior to re-assembly. Having re-located the filter to the carbon airbox end now, it will be easier to get at for cleaning in the future.
I did notice a difference in power… so mine must have been almost completly blocked!
MAYBE see you tomorrow??? NOT sure about the other halfs plans yet!
Pete Nice looking job. Is that adaptor nozzle thingy from Lotus??

Yes mate it is a lotus part! 30 ++ I recall!!! But really simple as it slips over the LHS air intake with the induction hose slid over the top of that.
The 3 jubillee clips… one to hold the filter to the carbon airbox… one to hole the fiberglass circle infill to the filter, and the final one to hole the induction hose to the fiberglass circle!

Just Googled old forums…
OFFICIAL Lotus part no. A111E0023K 32.51 + vat (2002 prices)
All seems a bit complicated to me. . .
Further to the ‘success’ of the Revo 153mm hose used for the CAI, I also now have got some 103mm dual layer silver hose that fits just perfectly over the drivers side air intake to duct cold air upto the altenator!
Bought a metre but have only used about a 1/3rd! to do this, so any takers for the other 2/3rds!
ME ME ME!
OK OK OK!!!
Just re-measured and really there is only enough for one other! You need circa 450mm out of the metre…
Sorry Clive!
Resurrection shuffle. I’ve just bought the carbon airbox and will be fitting soon. With trunking but looks like I need an extra length( ooo,er, missus). And what’s that plastic bracket-type thingy.
This thread us so old, I can’t seem to copy the part No. link
