Can anyone recommend a lotus specialist in Scotland preferably near Glasgow or central belt. Car is just out of warranty so will not bother with the dealer anymore. Told today at 2nd service that I need new heat shields, new rear track-rod ends and that air con has stopped working. also need 2nd new set of brake pads and all new discs. Only done 15k, the exige is starting to seem a bit fragile for my liking. 2 years is a short warranty.
Heat shields, thats a new one on me. Can’t imagine why there would be anything wrong with the originals, and even if there was a lot of us run without them with a rear panel eliminator.
The rest of the list seems fair game though for 15k. Track rod ends are a weak point, 2 sets of pads in 15k miles is fairly easy going, and new discs seems about right. All consumables, and if you do the work yourself of get an independent to do it wont cost the earth.

Not used him for servicing but he fitted my remote stat last year.
