In a bit of a pickle!

Hi,

I’m in the process of fitting Schroth harnesses to a Exige S and I have come up against a problem. The passenger side went OK, and I expected the drivers side to be easier as there’s better access to the seat mounting bolts. The seat came out easily and I was feeling quite smug until I notice two ‘L’ shaped pieces of metal (about 3 cm x 2 cm) lying on the carpet near the rear seat bracket bolt holes (see photo).

Any idea where they fit and how they should be positioned? Looks like the mounting bolt passes through them, however I’m not sure how they fit and what they do.

Any help and guidance would be very much appreciated as this job is turning into a marathon.

Cheers

Problem sorted - got some good feedback from the SELOC forum. For those that may face a similar problem, the pieces of metal fit into the seat runners (retained by the rear mounting bolts) and are there as an end stop to prevent the seat moving too far back.

Rear bolts go through them then the seat rail, so they sit in ‘u’ section. Mine point out from the centre of the seat, think the’re end stops for the seat adjustment, to the seat running back into the bulkhead. HTH

Thanks for the extra info’ - should be a breeze now. Decided to finish it in the morning in daylight.

Happy we could help!
