This could well be the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a long time!

Oh my God, how ridiculous is that. It’s not April 1st is it???

You bet. What are they doing to my beloved Lotus karma. I think I’m going to buy an Alfa or something like that.

In the words of Max Boyce, “I was there!”. One of the best races demonstrations I’ve ever seen. From 6th place to a distant first in a ‘demonstration’ of ten laps.

Yep the lunatics are running the asylum.

well Posh Spice was already busy tarting up Freelanders so couldn’t make the gig.

The quality of in car hi-fi may improve dramatically

Who the hell wants a wireless in a Lotus anyway???

Dont you get it !!
They want to get rid of the old “anorak” image of the typical lotus owner.

That’s actually very true, Chris!

Bentley used to be about the monied gentry and they’ve managed to sort of retain their original core business whilst becoming an aspirational product for rappers and footballers. I guess the old boys with their Blower Bentleys similarly baulked at the direction change and the resultant bling mobiles. If Lotus manage to take a similar tack and retain their motorsport heritage then thats definitely better than disappearing. I think they don’t need to expend much more energy proving that the exclusively anorak business won’t keep the lights on.

At the end of the day many of us on here are a nightmare for Lotus as a business since although we own one of their products we don’t intend changing it and upkeep of our cars completely avoids any revenue lines for the company by leveraging the fantastic independent parts/service industry that we all so benefit from.

Well put, young Ben

Speak for yourself

I’d like a new one in the next year or two… :astonished:
