Ade, I hear you were slagging off my S2 recently. I have loaned the car to a mate of mine and at a recent meet (i don’t know which one or where) I hear you got chatting to him and was giving my car and Plans a bit of a slagging, saying that it isn’t what it is supposed to be or something.
I’m not a pro Plans person at all, but I am very much a pro John Shorrocks person, who recently left Plans to start up his own business and it was John that did all of the work on my S2 when it was in at Plans having the SC fitted etc.
So lets not talk behind peoples backs and lets get it all out in the open.
The only bad thing that I heard of while the work was being carried out was a wiring issue, that was traced to a faulty engine loom supplied by Lotus. I think that once this was replaced all was well.
I have done about three thousand miles in the car since I have had it and it has not missed a beat. Its great, and I use it every day and I have done two track days in it so far.
Just to add, Ade, if it wasn’t you then I apologise for the acusation in my previous post. My mate said it was a guy with a modded S2 called Adrian, and I know you are in his neck of the woods, so I guess I was putting 2 and 2 together.
I wasn’t at any point slagging it off, I actually like the car, what I did say was that I knew plans had lots of issues getting the car to work with the conversion initially, there was lots of fun and games with the wiring loom etc, I did think it was unklikely it ever made 250hp when the initial conversion was done as I know how hard it was for me to initially get that kind of power.
I know the car is ok and in good health, it was great to see it out. Not sure what bit I said that he thought was slagging the car off sorry if either him or you have taken any offence it was certainly not the intension.
Fair comment Ade, I appreciate your responce and no offence taken. I agree I don’t think it is 250BHP, apparently the 250R stickers were Grahams (Plans) idea as even though the engine conversion is as a 240R, he didn’t want to sticker it up as that as it obviously isn’t one.
I know John really really well and I spoke to him a lot before even contacting Marc. The fact that John did all of the conversion work on the car, was the main reason I went for it. Marc had looked after the car really really well I thought and I could tell when I drove it off his drive, he was genuinly sad to see it go.
I’m looking forward to seeing Marc’s SC’d S1 when its finished.
And I am trying really really really heard to not mod the S2 any further!!

So its a lookylike … u chav
Thought it looked slow at Teeside but i just put that down to your driving lol !!!
I think all that needed to be said has been. The piss takers are just my mates taking the mik.
I just didn’t want there to be an air of dodgyness surrounding my car in case I ever come to sell it. Ade has clarified that there isn’t, I will kiss him on the cheek and shake his hand when I meet him (plus ask him about all the mods he has done to his car) and that is that.
