my windscreen is now cracked properly from the drivers door sill right across to the first air vent on the dsh so reaches over a lot
im with the admiral and understand if i pay the 70 excess they will do a new windscreen but its clam off job isnt it?
what should i do attempt to get the clam off myself and tell them someone can fit it at home here or just leave it all to them they must have done s1’s before right…
Not a full “clam off”, mate, although securing fasteners will need loosening to get the clam away from the screen area.
As our age’d friend has said, you can keep the clam on. Just make sure when they secure it back down that no part of it is touching the screen.
you think i should ring the admiral explain its cracked and try and get them to come and do it at home
what bolts on the front clam should i tackle before hand to help give the fitters room
