I'm a veteran........

I’ve just noticed that I have become a Forum veteran. No great shakes because, for example, Pesky has about ten times as many posts as me and I’m well down the list of Top Posters. But I have been around for a long time on here and it did make me check the user list and I noticed that I am Member #45 as befits someone who entered the Exige S1 User Test Programme very early on…

However, Pesky is member #52 and Admin is Member #2 so who is member #1?. Steve Green is Member #4

So, this reminds me that out of all the ‘early’ gang most of us had to re-register (in 2003) after a major forum problem, at which time some of us had to use ‘new’ user names such that I changed from being ‘83man’ to ‘the83man’. I’m not sure how many others had to change their user name. The point is, did the member No change at the same time?..is that why Admin is Member #2? Perhaps David will be able to tell us.

The enthusiasm of those early discussions was quite the most amazing Forum experience I have ever had.

None of this matters, of course, but one or two of you may be interested to reflect on how the forum has developed over the years. It is still one that I look at regularly even though I sold my S1 some 18 months ago…

So, who else had to change their user name in 2003?

Aye, became all formal & changed to Mr P from plain old P

The good old days, eh!

I remember Pesky telling me to register (on a trip to Lotus Ribble Valley), probably back in 2001. I never even had a home PC back then

I joined in the same year i sold the Exige.

I wonder who was first to suggest swapping the K series out for something else?

RussT seriously considered a KV6 in 2003, then he had the first Honda’d Exige in 2004.

I was still in short trousers then!

So what’s new?

Plenty of room to park his Pink Bike there Mr Pesky.

Wish I’d kept quiet. Next you’ll be accusing me of snurge pifting (look it up)

Ah the good old days… remember chatting to Colin at Columbia one afternoon, he was having a bit of a battle with a lovely green Exige (Bruno’s ?). Asked him if he was having fun and got “You think this is bad, I’ve got some mad barsteward who wants me to shoe horn a V6 in his”
