Yeah he’s decided to sell this one , not many like this come up for sale as most wont have the original engine or electronics , with the spares package it makes this car a rare relatively usable proper V10 .
I was lucky enough to drive it a few years ago , unbelievable machine .
Do you know who made the electronics, data loggers and dash? It could have been my old company Pi Research…or maybe someone else. It says Magnetti on the nose but in some cases they just sponsored the teams rather than supply. One of our track guys once got the pleasure of driving an Footwork Arrows car (few years old) after a season of track support. He over cooked it and took all four corners off the car. He got our Xmas Wally of the year award, not sure the owner was very impressed either.
It would be interesting to know what price you think it is ,
With some road cars costing well over 1 million now & Exige cup cars costing a fortune , what price would you put on a running all original 1998 V10 F1 with spares ?
Obviously if it was a championship winning V10 car than your talking well over a million .
lol , yeah a little bit more but Robs not far off . The spares add a lot value to the car + the software to run it , just think of the replacement cost of gearbox if you didn’t have a spare .
Also being original is valuable, there are lots of ex show cars running V8 DFVs or wrong V10s .
That would be great but sadly not possible at the moment , if the 98 is not sold hopefully it will be going with his M189 to Imola for the Minardi weekend http://minardiday.it/
Great weekend last year .
