… I fell in love with the look and don’t think I want to put my carbon one on now :ugeek:

So below are a load of pictures I took to try to help me decide, what say thee Exigers? (and no comments on the state of the car, I haven’t cleaned it for a couple of weeks! :slight_smile: )

And on the aerodynamics front, am I going to go all MK1 TT ? I personally can’t see a plastic spoiler bolted to the boot lid doing that much for stability, but I’m no expert in this so its more hopeful thinking than anything :unamused: But is it one of those things that really won’t make any difference until you get over 100mph or something? I’ve already thought I will put it back on whenever I do a track day, but day to day driving on the road…

Anyway would love opinions both on the look and any potential adverse affects of running without a spoiler

Really like the front splitter without the number plate, but regards the rear spoiler, it does look like something is missing. But if you like it fella then each to their own!!!

But your car is an Elise to start with, not an Exige. :laughing:

Yes it’s true only because the Exige wasn’t avalable in 05… But it became one in 06… The little wing holes were filled as soon as I did the swap…

And now it’s a 211 with balls… :smiling_imp:

Any recommendations on temporarily covering the holes? I don’t want a permanent job as I want to refit the spoiler for a) track days and b) when I come to sell

Leave it mate! No one will notice except you!

I took removed mine for a while, before replacing it with a MY10 wing (From Dave… IMHO that looks great and does not flap around in the breeze doing nothing!!)

As for (b)… you have only had it for 3 weeks or so!!!

:slight_smile: Don’t worry no plans to sell! I did almost right an ‘if’ in there but I’m sure at some point in the distant future I’ll look to move it on.

I do at least need to cover the holes as they just feed straight through to the boot, not great if it rains :confused:

Here is the gurney before blending it into the body… The car was stable at speeds over 180 mph.

Sorry to say the Exige is no more, it is now a super wide 211. Who said you can’t turn a pigs ear into a silk purse and then into a rocket sled ? :mrgreen:
