I miss meeting my friends

I miss meeting all our nutty awesome passionate drivers and exige friends. There is a special excitement everytime Anglesey or one of my drives over starts. It’s so much fun thinking of arriving at some carpark somewhere and seeing all our multicoloured smarties parked there. Full of awesomeness and passion.

Driving off together feeling the thrill of power, lightness, serious driving skills and a day or two of like minded fun on track or a holiday through mountains. The surprise and joy of meeting others at the track.

Roll on normalcy and exiges gatherings again.
Thanks for the good times

Very true Pierre. I’ve read that the UK should have the over 50’s receiving the first vaccination by end of May which might allow a return to some normality. Doesn’t bode well for Anglesey though :frowning:

Agreed chaps.

We are lucky that we are still here but it’s firmly life on hold!

I can’t see the lockdown lasting past March. They didn’t keep us locked down forever last time, I’m sure the track days will be back on this summer. I’m all ready to get the car back out once the weather gets a bit better anyway.

I’m with you Pierre on this one. I wasn’t too bad when the weather was great but this latest incarceration is getting on my nerves. Every day is the bloody same, Breakfast, read papers, click on exiges, com, Nyloc, Autosport etc. Maybe a bike ride. Make a meal, beer/red wine, TV, Sleep. Then go to bed . . . wake and repeat.
At least we Northern chaps managed a fish and chip run but it’s so long ago I can’t recall when it was. And I saw British GTs at Oulton.
Now, I ache to be joining the convoy south to Anglesey and racing round Europe with Nyloc.
I’m in next batch but one for a jab so not all bad I suppose.
Hope we see you this year👍

At least a silver lining in the cloud then buddy

Is there really a lockdown? Seriously? Masks apart where deemed necessary, everyone in our location seems to be like acting like it was 1999.

Trackdays should be an essential journey

I echo your thoughts Pierre. I’m hopeful for Anglesey though.

A balaclava and Helmet has to be pretty covid secure?

A pint, curry and a drive will be absolute Nirvana!

Were you dreaming when you wrote this?

Nopey PT  Folk need to get a grip. Life is too short to waste.

Might’ve been a bit too cryptic there for you Simon… sorry old bean… 1999 … Prince … lyrics

Sorry PT - who is this Prince you talk about?

I know

Formerly known as Prince.

Agreed with the sentiments posted, really starting to grate this time around even though I’m thankful that I can still work and those around me are healthy etc.

I’m hopeful for Anglesey, May is still a good way off and we saw a pretty sharp drop-off in cases towards the end of lockdown #1. This lockdown feels nowhere near as effective, but combined with the pretty impressive vaccination rollout hopefully we’ll see some positive swings in the numbers soon.

Aye Kyle, keeping positive isn’t easy but we’ll get there and I’m hoping to arrange a fish & chip run to York once the rules are lifted.

Would be great to catch up sometime this year Pierre, it’s been a while!

When we finally get to do some road trips then it will be something to savour. I might be able to keep up with you in the LT  In the meantime here’s a reminder of fun times. Transalpina and Transfagarasan passes in one day with dynamic bear crossing chicanes, unsighted gravel sections and random fallen tree slaloms

I’ve just got back from a dental appointment in Keswick. It’s like a ghost town there :frowning:

At the moment, I’d say that’s a good thing.

I had my jab last Thursday (I am 50) as a friend is a nurse and rang me to say they have some doses left at the ends of the day.
Kind of got me excited that I could possibly get the Exige serviced soon and have a few drives out when lock down eases.
Would be great to meet up with some of you guys and just talk bloke car stuff.
