Nice one Frank, looks like a very smooth power delivery!
How come the torque/bhp cross so late on the graph?
Neil.
Well done Frank 500hp is a great figure indeed
Excellento Frank !
Ample
Thanks guys we could have gotten more if not for the wastegate issue…I lied about being done … we will get more
Ade thats 518 RWHP = 595.7 BHP on a conservative dyno …
There is no replacement for displacement… So I’ll just turn up the boost…
Excellent, how much boost is that with? I know you were trying for 38psi
That was only 30 psi. I had an issue with the Tial 44 wastegate and couldn’t dial in any more… I also installed a methanol injection setup for the higher boost but didn’t get a chance to use it…I’m thinkin 600 rwhp is in the cards…
The beauty is how smoothly the power builds this means no drama on the road…
Just goes to show the yota is capable with a bit of R&D.
People always assume the honda engine cars are better for big power, yet the yota runs fine at 330bhp on standard internals, and 600bhp when upgraded!
The Avtars on the site crack me up! Ours are so ‘British’
PMSL about the randy religious smelly one!
Nice power too!
My one is not so British over there
very impressive - what’s the weight at now ?
this must be pretty much in atom 300 territory by now … that being the most outer limit of performance i’ve experienced on the public road.
The car with a full tank is 2150 lbs.
Very cool Frank, but what is the deal with the lines on the graph not crossing at 5252? Is that those American “my little ponies” you are calibrated to?
You are a yota tuning legend mate. I’m just 170 ponies behind you (and about 100k in r&d)
That is just the scaling of the dyno sheet. I asked to see the streched out version to see where the small changes are needed when tuning…
I have to say the tuning was finished off by Jermaine of VF Superchargers using CharlieX software…
My computer skills are limited to Lotus forums and that’s it…
I direct where I’d like to see changes…
Same Dynapac hub dyno as used at Essex…Exactly the same ponies as the UK little ponies… No need to BS, as a matter of fact we pulled a peak 528 to the hub but lost a little when fine tuning…
Wait till I run my methanol system…
