9.5kg saved total, so not bad in all

Im jelous! Want to go for the extended roof on mine too and would be nice to shave a few Kg’s at the same time - which roof/tailgate did you go for?

the new roof is a copy orcarbon cup ?
where order new roof and original fixing (interior) ?
regards if you have pics …

Looking :sunglasses:

Is there any lining in the carbon roof, Ade? If so, is it taken off the original?

Impressive - the roof is a killer weight so high up.

Where and how much please?!!

nice…are they carbon?

They are carbon and original Lotus, they were 2nd hand from Gav (thanks by the way) the only downside was the getting them painted (colour change required), I don’t think the bodyshop at EA is going to talk to me for a while…

No roof lining, I suppose I cold have swapped it from the old roof but I didn’t see the point, not sure Jacqui is going to be very happy after 300 miles going to Spa in it :astonished:

As the stuff was bought from here I suppose it is ok to say, the roof and boot lid were 1200 from Gav and the colour change was 500, I fitted them myself including swapping over seals etc.

I’ll swap her with you for the sports bag I’ll have on my passenger side

On second thoughts… do I want to hear about the merits of Celicas? :astonished: :astonished: :astonished:

You beat me too the boot lid Ade, i bought the other carbon cup roof tho, really impressed with the weight of it. Not fitted mine yet tho, getting it done in a few weeks along with a 2010 rear spoiler i think.

Have you got any internal pics of the roof please including fixing points, i presume you have just got the exposed carbon on show inside?

Cheers.

Edit to say, great savings BTW and extended roof looks so much better.

LOL @ Mr P

I’ll tell her you said that

I’ll try to take some pictures of the inside over the weekend, but basically the fittings are just the same as the standard roof.

Does this mean you will be travelling with Sally Gunnell?

Adrian,
Looking good! Looking forward to pictures of the new bootlid.

I am not so keen on the roof though, as I’ve improvished via another mean to shed some weight

Thanks
Tom

LOL @ Tim

Me too!!!

Lol at Tom’s Hairdryer
