I blame robocop...

After my accident last June I’ve just managed to get my replacement car back on the road.

I collected this car from Bryn last october…

It’s about done, I need to look at the brakes (pads and a fluid change), and suspension, the standard LSS that’s on the car feels quite tired, I’ll probably fit the 1 way Nitrons and maybe refresh the bushes with powerflex polys. Also I cleaned the wheels for the first time this weekend, they turned out to be a bit rough under the brake dust, it looks like one has been recently refurbished, the others all need it, can I get them shot blasted back and refinished?

That looks awesome

You need some red R decals on there too me thinks - would work well against the other black & red.

Thanks Benja,

There is one, under the Exige decal on the back, but it’s very small and doesn’t show up well on the photos, i was concerned about varying much from the stock stickers, i’ll keep my eye out for something abit stronger though. I do like the powered by Honda decal from the F1 cars.

Hi Dral, you work with Barry right? I know him off of the NSX club…

Nice car, not totally sure about the interior but the rest is ace!

Cheers

Rob

Ace!

Hi Rob,

Yes Barry and i run VTECdirect, we’re hoping to meet up with some NSX club member out at Adenau in toward the end of june.

Thanks for comment, the photos do make interior look quite garish, it does look better when you see it. Or so I like to think…

nik

Ah so your bazza’s colleague!

I help run the itr-dc2 club which he’s on

Hi

I miss my DC2, i had a 2000 UK car in starlight black, although i’m ashamed to admit i specced a/c on it.

It was probably the best car i’ve owned, loads of fun and it didn’t let me down once in 60,000 miles of enthusiastic driving. I really regret never getting it on a track though.

how have you found the paint when cleaning etc? has it lost the satin look in places or can the satin look not be polished up etc

I’ve not had it long, but i just wash and dry it. You need to be careful not to scratch it as it a bit softer than a regular finsih and you can’t polish out marks as you could normally. Perfect for me as i’ve always hated polishing.

The finish is just a lacquer so theoretically i could just have that resprayed if it really came to it.
