Some peeps here may not be aware that Hyla (from Oz) raced in the Autobytel Series, & then British GT. He’s a top bloke, & has since moved on to become a helicopter pilot/instructor. However, he was around the Lotus scene for a while in the late 90s early 2000s, often instructing at trackdays, & representing the factory.
For some reason this evening, I recalled his deft footwork/quick reactions in this clip from a trackday at Le Mans Bugatti, so thought I’d post it here for those who’ve not seen it before.

That was pant shittingly good feckin driving…WOE!
oh my god, how the heck did he manage to correct that… it just shows what the car can do under the control of the right person. absolutly amazing! wish i could drive like that
I like the fact he was back on the throttle to help straighten the car back up again
Sad, I know, but I have that clip on my phone !!
Tosser!
Lots of LUCK too!
Great steering wheel work too!
I’m not sure if it was luck or skill, but certainly one of them!

BOTH!
LUCK… If that Elise (WHY the wrong way!) had been less than 2 yards closer to the corner exit, it would have been ALL over…
SKILL… Obvious…
UNLESS it was Hyla Breese going the wrong way around the circuit!

I was going to say you can keep up with Hyla here - http://www.hylabreese.com/ - but he seems to have dropped off the radar a bit. Not literally I’m sure!
