I finally got round to making some time to fit the Scroth Harnesses i ordered weeks ago to my Exige, and due to the awesome weather this weekend decided to do the job by taking the roof totally off (and go for a drive like it ) HOWEVER, once I had removed the trim panel at the front there was only a torx screw on one side! the other side was missing entirely!!!
This worries me quite a lot, as not only has my roof not been entirely secured (and still isn’t) but if the factory have missed that, what else might they have missed!!!
I emailed the supplying dealer today to explain, and he has passed the email on the service dept etc etc
Just wondering what everyone else would think of this on a brand new car???
I don’t feel like i should be happy with them just supplying a new bolt, but don’t really know what to demand… thoughts please???
Suggest you look in the compartment behind the seats, just to check that the engine is still there.
That’ll teach you to fook about with the roof
Good try It’s never been driven “sans toit” though
Apparently, a toit does in fact drive it
hahaha, oh all right then!
What’s with all these French quotes, are you having lessons Rob or just watching loads of “Only fools and horses”
Just gettin ready for Le Mans Classic, then Spa in October
PS Je sais que “la station thermale” n’est pas en France, mais je ne regrette rien!
O…K…
When you out next mate, cars back on track as of next month…where you gonna be, Spa?
Jonny
From next month, only planned trackdays are in October ie Spa on 13/14th, & Oulton on 28th. Afraid most of my “budget” has gone on re-furb/upgrading the car this year, not trackdays. I’m not complaining at all, but as you know, doing things properly isn’t cheap, but well worth it!
Arh mate I’m there, been off track for months getting work done…getting the shakes! The wifes a bit pissed off to boot
Don’t worry too much mate - the roof will fly off as soon as you crash regardless of how many screws it has in it.
