Hello everyone!
I need your help again.
I must remove my engine cover and I’m worried about the refitting setting.
If I won’t get the right set at first try and the cover won’t open…how could I do !!!
I’m so scared
GRAZIE and CIAO !

If it’s a standard engine cover, it’s fairly easy to remove and re-fit. It must be because I have done it a number of times and expect to do it again shortly.
If you remove the engine cover from the hinge, leaving the hinge in place it should re-attach without a problem as the hinge will keep the position the same, I would think.
If the hinge has to come off completely that, too should re-attach without a problem.
But other, more experienced owners on here might have a different view.
you should make 2 marks around the hing with a pen, otherwise, i can be a nightmare…
It’s witchcraft. Today is your best chance for a good fit
Hopefully the OP has re-fitted his engine cover in the last 5 months
String is your friend. Tie it round the prong bit and be prepared to pull at various angles from under the car. Whilst someone else hold the bonnet release lever “open”. Always worked on old minis and MGB may be harder on an Exige but the wheel arches give an easy access route.
Crikey! That sounds a bit adventurous. Maybe I just got lucky
