how to remove iacv and some tps advice on vhpd

Hi,

because of having bad idle at cold start the last few days (and therefore starting to develop bad temper), i wanna try and clean iacv and wheelspeedsensor as this might be the cause

any ideas what will be the best way of removing iacv:

from underside after removing undertray
from top after removing airbox assembly

also can it have something to do with the tps?

thanks for your advice

Check all the vacuum pipes for leaks before you attack the rest…had the same prob found it to be split vac pipes on the inlet manifold.
Hope this helps

thanks Sean,

do you mean the 8 very small hoses 2 per each cylinder inlet (on the inlet manifold)

Had the same problem on my bros VHPD car - It was one of the small black hoses that had been rubbing against something from memory.

Easiest thing would be to just check all the hoses - we didnt know what they were all for but managed to spot a duff one and fix it

couldn’t get myself into removing iacv etc

buting havin read your posts about the vacuum pipes

will get me a couple of meters of the black vacuum tubing
and simply replace the lot

assuming my car has the same built quality as anybody elses
