Some may remember my twin exit exhaust/grill thread.
I have never been happy with the finish around the tailpipes, the grills look rough.
I’m thinking something to finish it off, obviously due to heat it can’t be rubber. Maybe a metal “ring” but how to fit to the grills?
You could find the center of the exhaust and use a center drill core to get the edges equally spaced
The exhaust tips are central to the holes (pic taken during trial fitting) .
It’s the grill looking rough. What I need is a fooking massive washer round the tailpipes.
If you use the core it will give you a symmetrical finish assuming you dont slip or use a toenail cutter like you did on the original.
Failing that you are going to need a metal sleeve to put around the cut hole - like this : https://blinkergroup.com/en-gb/metal-sleeve/

How about a carbon fibre ring or aluminium ring painted satin black and just pop rivet it on?
Or use spire clips so it can be easy removed if needed.
Ooh, a carbon ring bonded on, that sounds a good idea
Will it cope with the heat @johnfishcurtis ?
Looking forward to see how this turns out
