I’ve got an Exige S with a 260bhp upgrade and am curious to know if others with similar cars are using oil

No noticeable use of oil here…
The only oil that goes missing on mine is from dipping it. my last Exige was the same also. My Golf GTI used to use more oil than petrol. 
My poor engine has had a hard life, and it does use some oil, but I would suggest only a small amount ends up out of the exhaust, most goes into the catch tanks.

Do they have catch tanks as standard ? Can’t say i’ve seen one, then again, I haven’t really looked for one.
Interested to know what quantites you are using.
on the road very little maybe 50ml/1000miles on track though maybe 100ml per trackday, as i say though my car has had a hard life 20k miles at 300hp and probably 7k miles of that on track

Mine uses none and is used on track only.
Oil filter seal might be worth a check.
Mine uses very little if any.
What loss are you experiencing?
My Exige S260 used none, and i’m please to say after 7000 miles in the Evora it still reads full too 
None in my OEM NA. Changed every three TD’s with no noticeable loss.

doesn’t sound good, maybe get some catch tanks and see if it is going via the breathers?
if that amount of oil is going via the breathers your inter cooler pipes and the inter cooler will be coated in oil.
Not just the normal amount that we all get without catch tanks but I would say dripping with oil.
Very easy to check…just remove on of the pipes as an initial check. Expect a coating of oil but no more than that.
