How many ?

according to “howmanyleft” there are only about 250 S1s left in UK

Can this really be correct?

Have to admit that 2 of my previous cars now reside “overseas”

Could the export market return due to ££ value?

Just thinking aloud.
Happy New Year all…Get that Exige off SORN and over to Anglesey.

Does how many left include the sva cars?
Was it around 300 orginal rhd cars produced?

So actually not to bad a number really…

It surprised me how many are SORNed. When checking during the summer there were around 120 with an MOT. Are the rest in storage or race cars?

Hopefully mine will be with MOT in 2017…

Might start another thread titled “How many more times will we have a how many thread”

Meriod?

Had to double check
Thought I had logged onto seloc…

I was, only trying to get some comments on the forum …its been a bit quiet , could it be Christmas?

By the way. HAppy New Year everyone…I intend to have a good one… :smiling_imp:

Happy New Year Clive  It’s not the busiest of forums but it’s a friendly place nevertheless.

Intersting I was reading EVO earlier and they made more Renault 5 Turbos then Exige S1’s. That said only 600 S1 Turbo’s but 1800 in total. Great pedigree. And back on value again the last Exige S1 for sale in the UK was up for £35k, that’s 12 more than what I bought mine for 3 years ago  . The Renault on the other hand is 15ish years older (a classic) with S2’s currently selling at £80k so relatively speaking it’s not all that when you consider there age, and mine  . Still it’s no bad thing either way and I’d gladly own both.

I honestly think the S1 Exige is slightly under value. I would have thought any car coming to the market now is surely over £40k?

None for sale at the minute I see. Mine is still sitting with under 20k on it in the warehouse. I was tempted to sell but you will never get another is what I think. I would think this year you will see plenty over £40k when the summer months come. It probably all down to who puts what up and at what price early on dictates the market early on in the season?

I noticed too, it has be a little slow.

It’ll be interesting to see how long it takes for the next S1 to sell and what it sells for ?

The last decent 340R sold within 24hrs because I bought it  ,the dealer said he had 10 people after it but it was still advertised for another 6wks :unamused:

Only jesting Clive, just trying to drum up some life into the forum

It certainly will but I remeber thinking the same when I was looking at CSL’s. I think you’d be nuts to sell for under £30k for even the highest milage S1 now.

I was offered 30k, by a dealer, unseen against a 911 993 last summer. The 993 was a reasonable price as well (would now be 7-10k more, 993s have gone nuts). Offset pedals in the 993 made it a non starter with my once broken pelvis, that what happens is you race cycles.

I’m ready to pull the trigger on a s1 or a cup260 s2 when anything hits the market.

Like most have said though it’s when something goes up for sale.

Well, that’s reassuring… as my mileage is climbing.

I have seen 3 forsale in France.

2 RHD cars. 1 for 40k euro, a converted one (LHD) for 47k euro.

One on Club Lotus France, a real LHD Exige S1 for 57 000 euro.

Certainly a great looking car. I would like very much for them to keep rising but I would swop mine for a S2 Exige 260- at least I think I would…

Probably going to sell my S1 Exige this year, if anyone is interested PM me.

Its a Honda S/C C/C with all the bits, but looks std out/inside.

Very interested. You have a pm

I think I have one in the garage, not looked for a while now.
