How many wives / partners like going in an Exige??

I keep reading here, that a lot of wives/ partners don’t seem to like travelling ( as a passenger) anywhere in an EXIGE .

Speaking for us , Mrs P doesn’t like travelling in the Exige very much  I didn’t insure her for either of the Loti , as she , at one point had 9 points for speeding ( in a SMART car  )

Her Reasons re the Exige.

Scares her.
Noisy.
Hard ride.
Goes to fast.
Difficult to get in , & out off
The car attracts to much attention , when parking/parked :frowning:

I’d appreciate other owners views

My ex used to hate it lol …

I might have mentioned elsewhere that Mrs Thommo is not a fan.
Last year (after four years of ownership) it turned out she actively dislikes it (too hot, too noisy)and, worst of all, doesn’t like the colour - yellow - which is a bit odd as she never said that about the yellow 111S we had.

My Mrs hated the Exige S1, but loved the 111R. She’s ok about the current Exige but sometimes only wants to use the company hack :frowning:

She won’t go on track with me these days either. Can’t think why

I’m lucky. Mrs B is a fan, but hasn’t driven it since the collect from Bournemouth to Lincs. The longest jaunt we’ve done in it was to the Lotus event at Snetterton last year. We packed camping kit and she was as happy as…

I think she’s not driven it as she’s aware that I have OCD with it, in so much as its a disaster if it gets stone chipped (of which it has MANY more since we bought it).

She had input with the colour putting me off the Chrome Orange one I fancied, and asking me to imagine that parked outside the place we like to have a drink…waaay too brash! That’s why we have a Titanium one.

The ambition (when I’ve fitted the Jenvey T/B’s)is to take it to Europe for either Le Mans or touring…she’s fully onboard with the plan, and looks forward to it.

Cheers,
Kurt

and that’s just the sex :frowning: She loves the exige but can’t get insured on it being 22, i think longer term i’ll get her a sorted elise or a cayman and she can track that. I’m lucky in that her Dad and brother are both petrolheads and she’s grown up with sports cars. Whatever she ends up with tho i’d rather it was less special than the exige so she can use it as a daily and park it anywhere

Err indoors has only driven mine once and says since 260 kit is now too fast.

She does however suggest going for a run out when the weather is nice but same as Mrs Podger in finding it uncomfortable (her feet dont reach the footrest) and attracts too much attention.

Jacqui loves mine, most of the time

Scosh

I couldnt get past the bit where you said your wife is 22. Lucky b@stard

Not a fan.
Prefers her 1968 fiat 500 (in bright yellow)

I am very lucky - my wife not only njoyed the trip last year to Andalucia and back, but also put up with the limit of two soft bags for the three weeks away. Provence this year, a bit shorter!

I upgraded from a Westfield which she hated. I drove, my wife went by plane.

My other half has her own!
Can’t argue with that!

Other half chosen on the basis of being an absolute fan. Likes driving the car and going for long road trips - Le Mans and Monte Carlo included. I’m very lucky.

Carol used to drive mine regularly, even to shows and the like, and proudly proclaimed herself as one of the few grannies to drive an Exige. She wouldn’t go on holiday in it though so one of them had to go…

I must get her sat in an Evora again soon…

Toni never even tried to sit in the Lotus all this time, she just said be safe, have fun and make sure you call me a few times while in the canyons…

Hell the last time she rode with me in the canyons was in my 83 Quattro.

Had mine 5 years - wife has been in it once! hates it and thinks I’m very sad…which I probably am.

Zoe loves the exige, always asks when we go out on our own if we can take it rather than anything else.

Which one ?

Jude didnt like being driven in the VHPD version, but she did enjoy driving it on her own …

She liked the SC Honda somewhat less … and thinks the Audi is “just stupid” …

So my plan worked :sunglasses:

Mate she did not look like she loved it when I saw her getting out of it at Anglesey, unless loving it involves covering your eyes and screaming

Jane has not been in my mota for about 3-4years and her attitude to it is best described as total indifference. She only cares about the fact that she knows that it and sadboys.com keeps me smiling…
