Unsnap the two snaps retaining the carpet, lift and twist it toward the back of the car while cursing and pulling.
If its the same cover as used for the 111R, there is a springy plastic clip which retains the outer rear edge of the battery. Push on that whilst doing all of the above

It seems to be held in by something in the middle, as it seems loose everywhere else.

Is your car brand new & therefore a changed design
Maybe a retaining bolt/screw or sommat on the top of the cover. Can’t you get in there with a torch & take a look
i couldn’t get my cover off until i removed the battery clamp plate. have you done this already?

In the end just pulled hard twisted and it came away.
Easy to get back on as well.
All this to get at grommits in the corner.
Fed through a wire for reversing sensor.
