How do I make it spit fire?!?

I have a re-packable exhaust for sale you will need.
I had another exhaust made with a longer tip as the clam around the exhaust was burnt and bubbling the paint.

Good point - had mine popping and banging and spitting flames since new - anyone following me always comments on the entertainment. One of the benefits of the Lotus 190 ECU with a VHPD ; however, when running the Lotus sports exhaust (with oval tip) I did bubble the paint around the clam opening and it was always a dirty brown colour. My advice would to be make sure the exhaust tip protruds as far as possible before messing with the fuelling.

Also - take heed of above comments to download a copy of your map as is - if you make any changes you want the option to restore to current settings without having to remember all the things you tinkered with!

Gents,
I managed to plug in the laptop this morning, and nothing really happened other than the synchronisation of the usb port on the laptop. I looked at the disc that came with the car and all that has on it is the conversion for the data cable that, as previously mentioned, which the laptop has managed to sort itself. I have a floppy disc too, which features the program for the M3DK (?) ECU. I’ll get that loaded onto a memory stick and loaded into my laptop and then go from there. That may take some time as I need to find a floppy drive.
I thank you all for your advice and guidance and will tape up the exhaust surround with ali tape before doing anything, to prevent scorching. Collieek, please bear me in mind with that exhaust, I may need it in the not too distant future!
Cheers,
Kurt

You’d be best off using the latest emerald software with it. I’m round at a mates house at the moment so can’t email you a copy till the morning, if no one else has a copy to hand let me know your email and I’ll send it over 2moz.

In fact, the latest is available on emeralds website - Google emerald ecu and on the software/manual page

Paul,

I’d like a copy from you if may? I just when on the Emerald website, and my computer seems reluctant to download it. I’ll PM my email address.

Many thanks,
Kurt

I am not far from you we could compare flame damage when you get it sorted

email sent

Thank you very much Paul. I’m off outside in a bit to have a tweek!

What to avoid

Steve,
Who manufactures the exhaust shown in your second image?

Kurt

Kurt - sorry I’ve no idea - it’s not my photo, just one I found online to demonstrate the issue.

Wasn’t that the original factory exhaust finisher?

My S1 already spits reasonable flames with a standard ECU.If I eventually get round to fitting a Zircotec coated manifold, will it spit bigger flames because of the higher exhaust temps?I know I’m SAD.

It might be a 2bular?
