Hose between brake fluid reservoir and clutch master cylinde

As with many S1 the hose from the brake master reservoir to the clutch master cylinder was in bad state on my car (sweating brake fluid and looking tired).
The genuine Lotus part is certainly not a bargain at £59.64 + VAT!

The difficulty with this hose is that the ends slightly differ in size and it needs to be brake fluid resistant.
After a bit of research I found that the Cohline 2337 hose will do the job.

I bought it here for 4€:

But it may be bought at places in UK too, like this one here:

The hose does fit at both sides and I fixed them using permanent style ‘Ein-Ohr-Schellen’ → ‘One-ear-clip’ (don’t know the english name for those clips).

Klaus

Wow! That’s good info…could have done with it earlier

Mine was sweating a little bit.
As i work as a mechanic at a Fiat/Abarth garage i ordered one from a Fiat Doblo.
I paid a few euros,a lot less than original but as good as original!

I used the Merlin motorsport option when changing out the brake master cylinder recently. Works very well.

Im looking to replace this hose.
What size are the clips?
Im also in Germany so if youve a link for them that would be most helpfull.

Cheers

The outside diameter should be 13mm. I used an Oetiker ‘Einohr-Schelle’ taken out of a set I already own so I did not need to order them.

The set I use looks like this one:
[u]Oetiker Sortiment 1-ohr Klemmen stufenlos Zange online kaufen | eBay

You’ll need a special pliers to set those clips.

Cheers for the link trackrod, I already have the pliers so should make it fairly easy job.
