its a long story. I took the car down to him as agreed to have it mapped for 350 and was told it would take almost the whole day to map it. got there at half 8, he spent ages not even looking at the car then i left about half 10 to get something to eat. About 11 i got a phone call saying the engine wont start so i went back with my mate to try and see why. I spent about 1 and a half hours trying to get it going with guy not helping making me feel like i was in his way (nearly got it recovered back to coventry and lost the 350). I left the car outside and when i got back the car was inside over the ramps so i asked if it started to get it inside and he said no i pushed it (i dont like being lied to).basically i was checking relays, fuses looking for bad connections etc and couldn’t find anything wrong. in the end i found a battery isolator switch in the foot well and asked where he’d removed it from. it goes by the ecu in edp’s car and you need to remove it to get the panel off to get to the ecu witch is what he must of done and not pluged it back in. by this time its half 12 so off i go down town again and at 2 i come back to see how he was doing and the car wasn’t on the rollers he said its ready and all that mapping was going to cost me 350 plus 50 cos he had to remove the undertray? 400 for 90 minutes. i complained and he just said well its mapped. i said it’s not my fault about the battery swicth and he said its not his he thought it was just there to hold the panel on (and he just mapped my car). he was even going to charge me for his down time when my car wouldn’t start cos he said it wasn’t his fault. thats the story in breif you can imagine the arguments i had with him and i wouldn’t trust the guy with my push bike now. the story is far to long to explain in detail but you get the idea of how helpful he was great customer care, he favorite comment was i dont know anything about Lotus’s. Nothing wrong with the car though edp hope your still having fun with it.
Dying to know…Was the Map any good ??
Ive been told by my mate who writes mapping software that the map is average with problems around the vtec area. If im honest i dont know what this means but he says inprovements can be made. Here are the print outs from the r/r:

Not sure why it isnt 8 psi, perhaps their kit was testing low for some reason. Anyway will update when my mates sorted the map. Cheers
Er …
So on Run one transmission loss was 17 and run two its 28 and suddenly power is 1K up the rev range and torque is 1K down … Mmmmm
First run was only to 7k ish revs, 2nd was all the way to the limiter…
First run was only to 7k ish revs, 2nd was all the way to the limiter…
OK … but what changed ? Its very interesting to know as I’ve seen a very similar graph to the peak power at 7k ish just recently
Erm, the only thing that i can remember was that they didnt think it was tied down properly and adjusted the straps. In the past ive also seen fans being blown directly at the intakes and that wasnt done for me. To be fair it only cost me 15 and was orginally meant for calibras so i musnt grumble!
cheers
"they didnt think it was tied down properly "

Lol, you know what a meant!

The charger belt might be slipping?
Well, i went with Abbey in the end. I had a trip down there last week, they have a good set up there and Dan was very helpful and kindly let me in the dyno room.
Unfortunately we hit a snag, a faulty fuel reg was leaving the rail at over 10bar, causing over fuelling making mapping impossible. But it was quickly rebooked and was back on the hub dyno yesterday.
I’ve just had a brief chat with Wayne at Sinclaire, the car made 208bhp at hub, with 168lbft. A little more than i was expecting to be honest. It’s a K20a3, with K&N cone on the front and a 2bular manifold and backbox exhaust system.
I’ve not driven the car, i’ll be picking it up tomorrow on my way over to the Nurburgring. I can’t wait, and i’ll post some photos and data when i get back.

Good figures!
So what would we say that equate to flywheel (guestimate)?
It’s a K20a3, with K&N cone on the front and a 2bular manifold and backbox exhaust system.
I hope this is a typo, the K20A3 is the econo box version of the K series, designed for fuel economy not power. Mind you if it is, 200hp and 50mpg would not be a bad combination.
I’m guessing about 10% loss to the hub dyno so around 230BHP at the flywheel.
And you’re quiet right iwilson, it’s an a2, ant doesn’t get anywhere near 50mph…

Here are the plots, the VTEC swap is set quite low at 3800, with a limiter at 8700.
The torque curve seems to flucuate a little, i’m not sure why this would be given how smooth the Hp curve is. The car feels very nice to drive, with a strong even pull.
The dynapack is a hub dyno, and the mapping was done at Abbey. Overall i’m very happy with map, and the engine made better power than i was expecting.
According to that graph you have 208bhp at the flywheel not the hub.
Hmmm… you’re quite right.
I’ll check that with Wayne, it doesn’t match what he told me on the phone…
I had a chat with Wayne last night, apparently it’s just a glitch in the format of printout, it’s marked as ATF, but Abbey don’t put in a correction factor, so it is actually ATW…
