honda... which place?

I have been looking into honda power for a while now, reading forums etc etc. i still cant make up my mind between taking the car to some where like sinclares or to think about buying a kit from stark and doing it myself. Can anyone give me a realistic price if i were to go the stark route, and if i were to go the link up route? Has anyone actually used stark?

i ran an exige honda from one year now and spent a lot of time on forums and shows to upgrade mine (it’s one of the early conversions)

if i had to do it again, i will give a shout to edwards boyzs and look their conversions, very impressive

spark have a very nice website and well designed parts but almost no feedback about their conversions

Stark have a review in the latest issue of performance tuner.

I would give the Edwards boyz a shout, really nice instalation and a bit cheaper than most of the other options,
they did mine and ive had no probs at all with the install. number is 07973725980

They do but indeed but one things for sure with the boyz care and attention for your pride and joy are FOC !

Upgraded rad
Fuel pump etc
Oil cooler
Exhaust + sports cat
Heat insulation
Map work to get the best from the engine.
DC5 inlet manifold (no extra cost)
Nitrons + Eibachs
Toe links
340r track Geo
Alcon discs all round with alloy bells

I think thats about it.

That lot was about �4500 on top of the Honda S/C install.

Made over �3000 on bits i sold.

So i look at it being about a 15k conversion.

Power is 291@hubs

There’s a very complimentary review of a Stark converted Honda engined Elise S1 in the latest Evo mag No great technicla details but v. positive.

And Evo gives them a 5 star rating this month as well.

Mind at 26,800 for Elise S1 I’d expect a 10 star rating…

Thats the same spec as im having installed plus roll cage, parking sensors and charge cooler… should i be looking forward to getting it back then

Daniel are you having yours mapped at Abbey Motorsport??? it would be good see your power run if you dont mind, i have been thinking about doing the charge cooler but it would be nice to see the gains before i go ahead.

Of course i dont mind, hoping to get it back end of next week, just waiting for my 2bular to be delivered, had the front section of charge cooler fitted, also waiting on rear section to be delivered. Asked a few questions about the possible power on seloc to randy and bogie, your looking at around 310-330bhp with dc5 manifold (i know two peeps with this confirmed @ 330bhp with good exhaust and 4-2-1 system) and around 350-360 maybe with the charge cooler aswell. im not entirely sure who sincs are using to fine tune on the rollers but ive been told i’ll be getting a printout when done. Will be posting plenty of pics when finished

What do sincs charge for cooler?

Im not sure how much it cost buddy, i just said to them id have one lol. Im guessing in the region of 2k - 2.5k
