Honda+supercharger=fast!

Perhaps I should rethink my life strategy ???

Mike

given the free time you have had and the toys in your box…i think its us that need to rethink ours

errr… I worked 299.25 hours last month !!!

and they have offered me a secondment / promotion !!!

but I’ve been offered another job elsewhere on nearly three times the money !!!

Which takes me back to my pre-redundancy earnings + 35 hour week, free weekends, and 30 days holiday !!!

Just in time for the trackday / racing season !!

Uncle Mike

That’s great news

Mike - I must have already known that

WELL DONE MIKE!

And Happy Birthday Johannes!

Ian

David, you’ve become addict to Audi’s massive torque, hey…

Seriously though, what torque do the S/C Hondas put out ?

I believe 215 lb.ft.

Is this a joke??? Where is this from …who does it belong too??? who made this conversion???.. drag car only??? what??? how much is it??? when can I buy it??? how is it on track??? to good to be true

Joe McCarthy of Prototype Racing infamy. These are American numbers - you can find a useful calculator here http://www.littleempire.org/joe/

Also an interesting thread on Exiges here Clicky

Nicolas are have you had your money refunded yet? I see Joe is back online now, last spotted here Clicky

Don’t know who makes this conversion…

Just found this image on a Seloc thread, and it stated torque figures, so I posted it here!

Anyone in the UK put their S/C Honda on a dyno ?

Maidstones offical numbers are here SELOC Forums Apparently the S/C numbers are out of date and have moved onwards and upwards. Note: These are from a Dynopac so read the post to get an idea of an Emerald equivalent.

For those that don’t use SELOC:

243bhp @ 8312
170 lb/ft @ 5788

I’d be interested to see the results of one that’s been dyno’d recently.

I’d better present the big picture here and include the rest of the information from Seloc.

Maidstone used Abbey Motorsport to develop the maps for the conversion. Abbey uses a Dynapac dyno, this is unique in that it bolts onto the hubs and removes a big variable i.e. the tyres from the equation. Tests on the same engine done at Emerald and Abbey showed a 15% difference between Emerald’s simulated flywheel figure and the Dynapac hub figure.

Since Emerald seems to be the default standard the actual figures would be:

279.45hp and 195.5ftlb, as I mentioned things have moved along since then and that figure is now a good chunk higher…

that’s all theory though right, nobody has had their car on a dyno ?

Ian,
Joe still has my MONEY!!!

where did u find a post from joe? i’ve been to your link but did not find it.

ok i got it…
