Honda SC converted car, engine cooling fan

I was at a trackday yesterday and I noticed that my car never brings the cooling fan on for the engine after a session on track. Is this normal or do I have a problem ?

Cheers,
Dave.

What temperature was the water? If you do a bit of a slow down lap, you should end up driving into the pits with everything at normal temps, so you probably wouldn’t have the fan come on.

Yep, always do a proper cool down lap. It was only getting up to about 90, what temp would they normally kick in at ? I only ask because the caterhams that were there all had their fans on in the pits after every session.

Sean, you wouldnt happen to know an answer to my fuse question in the ‘general’ forum would you ?

Thanks for ther reply.

Think it depends who did the install and what triggers the fans.

As I did mine I used the Hondata ECU trigger set at 92 using the Honda standard water temp sender and as a back up another sender located in the bottom hose set at a reading of 94 on the dash. My SPA dash uses yet another sensor for the display …

I have yet to have my fan come on except when we were at Silverstone this year when ambient temps were very high and then only for maybe 30 seconds

Thats great, thanks guys …
