07855017256

its got eliseparts twin headlights painted black so i have a pair of clear covers that i put on sometimes aswell. cant make my mind up which i prefer but im not using it on the road at the minute so will stick with the red ones for now. red ones are the fastest

Out of interest, where are the aero boards from or did you make them up?

And good luck with the sale, lovely car.

they were bought from JDR ( johndanbyracing.com ) and were 265 + VAT for the skirts only. i like the look of them but dont think they do anything for aero, they would need to cover the whole underside of the car to create any downforce i think.

Sorry to post this here, but can a member with knowledge of the Edwards conversion (above) and also the Maidstone Sports Cars conversion (charge cooled Honda too) pls contact me.

Thanks

Depends on what you want to know? If you want an impartial opinion I suggest you talk to John at JSRacing…hope you don’t mind me volunteering you matey!

Thanks Benja.

I have not heard of the Edwards conversion, whereas I am very familiar with the MSC one. So I just wanted a heads up on the quality, reputation & reliability etc of the Edwards one.

For reference, my previous Lotus was a TT supercharged K series S2. I’ve driven various Honda engined Lotus’ but not owned one.

Jas

The Edwards conversion has a good reputation and is used by several people on the forum, they are top chaps as well

Thanks Adrian

I’m in the process of doing my research

Jas

Personally, can’t speak highly enough of the Edwards Boyz (aka Lotuspower), but that’s in no way being critical of MSC, who do a splendid job too.

Completely agree

They are indeed legends.

Everytime I drive my car on circuit I say a quiet thankyou to Martin/Steve and JSR for making my car so awesome :sunglasses:

Completely agree  [/quote]

Agreed, but then I am very slightly biased

The trick for the CC conversion is mapping, so if Hofmanns did that it would be mapped at TDI and will be fine.

My Edwards Honda conversion also had the the CC added at Hofmanns and was mapped by Scuffers and it doesnt get much better than that.

One point is that ALL the converters have had improvements and updates over the years and a SCCC version is very hard on engine mounts and drivetrain so regardless of who did the conversion its worth checking those two points.

Scuffers mapping is sublime, the engine is so smooth its unreal

all 4 engine mounts have just been replaced on mine as i had a cv joint go at anglesey. steve edwards kindly checked it out at anglesey and suggested it may have been because a couple of mounts needed replacing so i did all 4. the mapping was also done by scuffers on mine aswell.

Thanks everyone who has kindly replied, with universal praise for the Edwards guys

Mine was Martin & Steve’s 14th conversion. Clearly they learn little improvements each time. Great job only problem is the old git driving it…me

Thanks camldc, every customer of theirs seems happy with the conversion

now sold to Jas. top guy to deal with
