Hello,

Someone recommended to me that I should keep a spare S/C belt in my car boot. Does anyone know where I can get one and roughly how much it will cost ?

I’ve got a couple of new ones spare if interested �10 each + postage (think they are normally about �18 + VAT).

Cool. Out of interest, are they all the same ? Do I need to check something on my car first before we proceed ?

These are Good Year 7PK1180. Check the belt on the car, should be marked 7PK1180 or maybe 7PK1178.

Paypal is fine.

Hello, I have checked and I cant see anything written on the belt itself. Its a maidstone conversion with a jackson supercharger, does that help ?

Belts should have some sort of marking! These belts were for my Maidstone supercharged conversion but not the later one with the dc5 manifold. Which is yours?

Errrrmmm. My car is number 21 and was done about 2 years ago. Sorry about this, but the spec list I have doesnt mention if its a dc5 or not.

You’ll know if it has the DC5 manifold because the charger will be lying flat with the logo visible from above. The older conversions have the charger on its side.

Just play safe and give MSC a call. They’ll tell you what you need whether you buy one from them or not.

If it Pauls old car then it had the older type civic inlet

Yes its Paul L’s (Pleyer) car. Does the new inlet make a difference to power ?

Maidstone didnt help. Can someone supply a photo so I can compare the supercharger positioning ? Always a pain in the a$$.

If it doesn’t look like this then it’s the older inlet manifold. The DC5 Manifold gives a fair bit more power and torque and is not prone to cracking like the older one. Dynoplot shows loads of the various set-ups etc.

Thats weird my charger was laying flat before the DC5 was fitted.
