A friend in Holland is converting his S1 to Honda power and is using a kit supplied by a UK supplier. He has found that, having removed the power steering pump, he now needs an idler pulley to keep the same belt and routing. Existing supplier has not responded well. Anyone with experience of this know where he could go to resolve this please.
Thew engine was sourced from Japan ex Integra. (This is one of those ‘don’t start from here’ type projects where the Dutch dealer has been working with a UK convertion kit, but did not buy the full works from them = less than optimum relationship) I will get more details if the simple solution above does not sort it.
The problem seems to be that the belt needs to go across where the engine mount is. Difficult to explain without a diagram but there is something wrong with the set up. Need to find a photo of an installation to see how it should go.
