My map is not locked - TDI North, although I’ve promised Paul that it is to be used on my car only - so it’s no use anyone asking me for a copy, cos I won’t oblige!.
The K100 doesn’t have a USB port, so presumably only a Hondata Agent (or Honda Converter?) can overide an existing map by physically opening it up & replacing a chip?
That’s as it should be. See there are some trustworth people out there.
The K100 can be modified and takes a custom map like a Kpro does, but you need a special (dealer only) interface cable to connect to it. There’s no need to replace any hardware.

Ok, what I did was, um, break-down and let the AA take it to MSC for me to sort on a low loader.
They did sort it with help from Simon Scuffham and I had a good drive back up the M1 when it was ready
Excellent road car that is.

The sc belt was slipping very slightly and squealing. I told the AA it was an ‘engine noise’ so they sent a flat bed straight away.
Its one of their keywords that mean they dont need to send a mechanic.

Did you get the O2 sensor problem sorted? It’s not uncommon for them to spit the dummy. The ECU will then engage open loop mode. The fault code would be useful. But if its a UK engine then it’s not big bucks to swap out the O2 sensor.
The flipping cars OBD port hadnt been connected properly so we couldnt get live readings and stuff. The ecu is the cheaper one so we dont have the usb port either. Bit annoying really.
The car is now with Blink and should be sorted soon. When I find out what was wrong I will post up for completness. I have been told its either the map sensor or lambda. We shall see soonish hopefully.

My car is now sorted out. It turned out is was a failing lambda sensor, they had to check a load of stuff to make sure but its all fixed. Booked in for MOT on monday. Trackday end of the month, cant wait !!
