honda k20-exige exhaust?

hi, i am undergoing a honda conversion into my s1 lotti.
what i would like to know is who should i go to for a custom exhaust? tony law?
also what kinda price would you expect? around 1000?

on the car already there is a chavspeed(janspeed) backbox, so maybe to keep costs down what would you guys think of just having a manifold made and down pipe etc and marry it up to the backbox? would it be unforgiveable or an ok idea?

im still tyring to decide on colour for my car…has any one got a link to a site that could help.

just to add to the above, tony law is 600 plus vat, mild steel no cat and fixed db scilencer. fitted.

or closer to home…remembering ill have to get the car there…blue flame exhaust. skelmsdale area…600 plus vat fitted but in stainless without cat and with removable scilencers…

anyone any thoughts???

Have you tried Jim at 2bular?

no but i will thanks. im happy to spend upto 800 on exhaust so quality more than price here is ok

Where are you are getting the conversioon parts from?

im doing it all myself…the way i see it is as follows…ecu and mapping from clockwise, 350 ecu and mapping 150, splice a loom and wire up ecu with new rev counter (10,000rpm stak), oil pressure and temp gauge, exhaust as mentioned around 700, engine, i have bought a 2006 27,0000 mile engine gearbox ecu with every extra possible for 1500 delivered, make the engine mounts and sub frame mod, easy, driveshafts easy, gearlinkage tricky but not to much o a headache as me friend is more than capeable, oil/water cooler to be on safe side, was going for mocal oil cooler but decided aginst, alloy rad upfront with two fans on switch, silicon hoses all round, just bought new wish bones all round 230 delivered, bargain, nylatron, nitrons, front anti roll bar stage two upgrade from elise parts, team dynamcis 1.2s gloss black 16/17 360
tyres need to buy. also exige style pannels @2650. diffusser i will make along with front splitter…oh and paint, me brakes i already have. 4 pot aps discs and pads to suit. braided hoses too. so far under me budget but things could go poo as we all know.

That sounds quite a list - if you have the time you should start a post in the Projects section. I’m sure many on here would be interested to watch your progress and there woud certainly be plenty of advice, thoughts and suggestions if you had any issues along the way.

good thinking i will if i have the time, so far ive took lots of pics.

i know what the web is like though and peeps can get a bit giddy.

will see

Head over to seloc too, tell them of your plans i am sure they will be more than happy to comment

The ECU and mapping is very cheap, is that the standard charge or are you getting a discount?

bit of discount. the guy normally just concerntrates on off road compotition cars wth these engines in and dosn’t really do his side of things with public

i presume the best ecu to have is hondata but at the end of the day i fyour not gonna go mad on tunning then a basic ecu is fine. im pretty sure you could get a few ecus around the 400 mark…omex are very good and are only 500 ish.

Hi. I have a standard exhaust manifold taken off my K20 when i had it S/C if you are interested. Rex.

Grass track?

omex 850? jesus who from? is it old plated? lol loom on top good point

what kinda cars? not sure i think rally cross. i spoke to a honda tuner and mentioned the above chap. the honda tuner said he was like god when it came to k20s so im hoping he is correct.

with regards to supercharger exhaust manifold…sorry i hvae no use at present. andy

Err Omex, Ecus to run the k20 aint cheap. Krpro, DTA, Hydra, AEM are the same kind of money then you get into the big boys like Motec and pectel.

You have a cracking deal with the ecu and mapping.

I have never heard a bad word about Ian @ clockwise, If I ever come into money i would get him to build me an engine.

sound good then thanks! cant beat a bargain

Good luck Red, been there, seen it, done it, or rather my friend did on his S1, after stripping mine down and copying the conversion components.

He got there in the end, and he is an Electronics engineer and a bloody good mechanic, but believe me, twill not be plain sailing.
