Just to fuel the debate of reliabilty, I have engine #15 from the Autobytel series in my car and it is having it’s first major rebuild as we speak. So a K can last if looked after properly. However road engines seldom get the attention of race engines, but properly cared for they can last, yes i’m not making making 800HP but it has held together for many years.
Have a friend in the Honda club locally who had a turbocharged honda civic and we called it the “hand grenade” so yes even Honda’s can be unreliable when all you are after is HP from the quickest easiest solution.
The only way to settle this is to have 1 unbiased driver on a designated test track on the same day, someone like the Stig.
I say enough with HP, someone show me lap times that’s what really matters
Well Steve’s engine seems to be getting the results so it seems utterly pointless in picking holes in it. There are more ways than one to skin a cat and he has gone down a different route than you have, it doesn’t make it wrong.
