Honda conversion resale value?

Hi there. Just curious what a Honda N/A conversion would do to the resale value all else being the same for an S1 Exige…?
Cheers!

From cars that seem to have sold you need to ad about 5-6k to the price of a non-converted car.
Which conversion also seems to have an effect and TBH it would affect my decision.

mark - I did think someone else would pik up on this…but…without wanting to stir, can you indicate you understanding of the market for the various conversions?

If I was looking to buy, I would want either a Link-up(Scuffers) or a Sinclairs car

Do Sinclaires use a full kit from the Edwards?

Oh, & there’s a “new kid on the block” just about to launch a Honda conversion service

I was just trying to answer the question Steve asked, I know Scuffers is not popular on here but I am definately of the opinion that his kit is the best developed of all the conversions currently available.

As to weather Sinclairs use a full Edwards kit, I don’t know, you would be best to ask them.

Anthony - don’t let them wind you up , I appreciated you answer.

To add to the list there’s also Blink Motorsport based near Oulton Park, don’t know whose kit they use - possibly their own developed off the Prototype kit?

Pesky - spill the beans…

I understand they developed their kit from the Edwards, which would be a pretty well engineered place to start.

Those guys took a serious professional engineers review of how others had done it before tackling theirs. Top blokes.

Yeah, you big tease!

Pesky, is it from the land of Lee Harvey … heard a rumour.

Oh it just gets weirder, what’s the bloke that (allegedly) shot JFK got to do with it?!

I am fairly sure that Blink no longer do conversions.

I have nothing against the Edwards kit at all, just no experience of it.

There is also an elemment of geography in my response, both Sinclairs and MSC are relatively nearby for me, the others are all oop North somewhere.

I must confess that I can no longer be considered unbiased as my car is currently at MSC having an SC Honda fitted.

Don’t forget to budget for CV joints

I thought the driveshaft/CV joint issues were pretty much fixed now.

Don’t forget to budget for CV joints

Dave - hand on heart, has nothing fallen off, overheated, or worn out on the audi?

Because of course no Audi car has ever suffered any driveshaft issues.

It’s been pretty excellent actually, would recommend it wholeheartedly. The only “issue” if anything was a failed coilpack which was fixed in seconds, cost pennies, and has nothing to do with the nature of the conversion.

I can live with that for a years motoring !
