I dont know if you have seen this, but TDI north are selling a stroker kit for the type-R engine. It can give an NA engine with over 300 bhp.

There seem to be a few different option for this, as well as some superchargers and a turbo kit.
The add in the mag I have list the stroker kit for �2560 + VAT.

Why not just go 2.4 ?

Problem here is if you follow the Toda link and check the dyno results you find the dyno pulls were done on Shawn Churches Dynopack. Which means they ain’t worth anything. This is the same dyno that gave numbers 50hp over what anyone achieved with the same configuration on a Dynopack in the UK. Hence his popularity with tuning companies.
