Holiday pic's

Just back home for a week of holiday and some adjustments to the car. Started of with the gas struts for the rear hood. Great update. Than installed 3 meters in the ex-radio bay. Also looking good.

New updated aluminum radiator installed with the necessary steel part rust brushing and painting.

Installed new AP brake disc’s and Pagid pad’s. The last are a pain in the as. The brake squeal is so loud that it is unbearable inside the cabin and judging from al the frightened bikers its not as quite on the outside as well. Changing to RS42 soon. Hope those are better.

Finally installed the diffusor and splitter from Martin. Nice parts!

Really good to see the old girl being looked after so well.
Will you be able to get to SPA 1st oct?? hope so.
Cheers
PS before changing the pads try lots of copper grease on the back of the pads…helped my similar prob with RS 14s

You are right but the thing you are doing is changing the angle the pad works against the disc. We use copper foil in the vehicle’s we send of to the press [grin]

I’ll check it out.

Sorry Clive, the old bird is getting a heart transplant

Pagids will be fine once you’ve hammered them on track a bit… mine made an almost embarrassingly loud squeal at first, but are quiet now.

You can also put some small buffers on the top and bottom edges of each pad, this helps a lot too. Get them from Elise parts next time you order other stuff (the postage will cost more than the buffers).

By the way, where did you get the gauges for the radio panel?

Cheers,

Clive.

the gauges are from “stack” from “demon-tweeks”
