Certainly a lot have been installed on Elises over the years, I suspect it would be the same.

Yes, I got the elise-shop ones a few years ago on the bulk buy - one of the best upgrades i made along with the nitrons.
So it is hid with hi and low beam?
I got the Hi/Lo kit at the time, I know you can also get them for the driving lights too
I have HIDs from HID4U. They work well, but are voltage critical, some times they did not come on. I replaced the H4 connector with a better connector (previous owner had run higher wattage bulbs and the original connectors were shot) and I have not had a problem since. They only just fit though, as they stick further out.
In terms of driving at night, they are maginally better, not the step up in performance I was looking for, nothing to do with the kit, just the Lotus headlamp design

I installed Philips Bluevision bulbs into mine. Give you a hell of a lot of light more than standard for much less of the ���
I fitted the Eliseparts Hi-Lo kit in mine when I had it and TBH wasn’t that impressed, in fact I thought the std bulbs were probably better.
However, I think this was a consequence of the smoked headlight covers the car had on it which I think diffused the HID light.
I’d say that if you go down the HID route make sure the headlight covers are very clean otherwise the improvements may not be as good as you expect.
