Think that this Forum is worth reading.
Im from Austria and raced 2009 in Lotus CupEurope Elisetrophy with our Honda-S1 Exige. This Year we will again compete in LotusCupEurope inviteclass.
Our car:
Exige S1 with Honda engine
K24 bottom/K20 head, jenvey ITB, Pankl rods, JP Pistons, Crower cams and springs, JDM short ratio gearbox, custom intake
hlins 2-way
custom Diffusor and Splitter to LCE regs
Rear- and Frontdiffusor is a more than one year development with a friend of us teaching at University of Graz/Aerodynamic. Lot of testing to find working curves.
Now works not so bad, as i could get 3rd position overall in Hockenheim at my first race. Just behind Steve Williams and Gavin Kirby.
But had endless electrical failure because of 12 (!!!) cable brakes.
Changed complete engineharness at the end of the season and hope the best for 2010.
Thanks for welcome!
Donington was great experience for us, as there were so many Lotus enthusiasts.
But bad luck,as we had to drive with engineproblems throughout the weekend.
We will come for Snetterton and Brands Hatch this year and hope for better reliability!
Lovley looking S1, they realy look the best car ever. Can you let us know when you are racing over here, it would be great to see the car in the flesh?
We will race at LotusCupEurope 19./20 June Snetterton and 31. july/1. August Brands
Will be hard fight against the stronger andf lighter 211
2010 regs bring big disadvantages for Honda-converted Exige S1!
@sean
We hope too, because these endless elctrical problems ovrstress my nerves. But we had some nice laps in Donington in free practice ))
Your car has really impressive power. No chance for our NA Honda to follow on the straights, but we seem to have some advantage in wet, as your cars power is really hard to control with the poor A048. What about your 2010 season LCE, GT??? Elisetrophy?
Thanks for compliments!
To be honest - our Exige only looks nice from 10 meters or more, as we made an extreme lightwieght bodykit out of3 layers fiberglass. So dont come to close! Looks 2nd hand!
We will race at LotusCupEurope in Snetterton and Brands, as we have no supercharger or turboengine.
But no photos of rear or front diffusor! Just the splitter. As we broke it several times and just reconstructed it “quick & dirty”!
Actually the real Lotus Experts are not in Austria. Most of our tuning is “Made in England”. You can be happy to have all of the Gurus only a few mls away.
