Paint chippings it is a big concern i konw you can get that paint sheild…however its too late for that so front end respray is required has any one bothered with this??? and how much??? or and were at??? cheers one gutted exige owner
On any other car, i’d panic about a respray, but on the Exige it’s pretty common and pretty easy to do.
I will get mine done after Spa / Ring this year!
Not sure on costs, but main dealer will be sorting mine.
What colour is it ?
Solid will be so much cheaper than pearl/metallic…
I did both last year. Front clam cost 400ish for respray and Armourfend was about 500ish for various bits here and there. No chips since…8 or so track days on.
Impressive - has it not chipped the film Jonny?
Mine has ventureshield:
Full front clam
Front splitter
Wing mirrors
Full roof
Full sills
Rear sills, over the wheel arches and upper rear wings (one piece)
Rear spoiler
Wasn’t cheap and installer was near Luton so its a long way for you. I had my car covered trailered from dealership to installer so it was only driven on road for PDI check before being covered.
Ventureshield etc is a no-brainer on any car once the surface is A1 IMO.

Mine was Arnourfended and yes, the protective film does get ‘marked’ as the stones hit the film, but it’s doing what it’s been designed for - protecting the original paintwork.
Mine is now 4 years old and will be coming off over the winter for a ‘re-film’.

that sounds like go news…do they ramove the front end to re paint???
let me know the result when ya get it done cheers jeff
Yep the front clam just comes off.
I personally opted out of any coating as it seems only the front gets chipped, and getting it resprayed when it gets really bad seemed like a cheaper option (ie when you come to sell it)
The little panels at the front sides get chipped, but they are small and easy to get sprayed.

Check it out at Spa but it’ll tough to see when all you can see’ll be the back of my car
Jonny doesn’t drive fast enough to chip the film!! ;o)

Yer i know that a lot of cars have the plastic coating fitted when i looked into
it for this car i could not belive how much it costs just for a lump of plastic i was getting quotes from450+vat upwards(maybe i was looking in the wrong place??)…
mind i did’nt expect to have as much paint damage so soon the car has only got 8000 miles on… i have a touch up pen and have been spending hours dabbing the holes and then T-cutting them back…jeff
When I come to lap your ass??
