Hello,
Contemplating selling my S1 Elise for an S2 Exige. Won’t be for a few months - holding off for some funds.
I have driven a (2008) 220 and (2006) 190 and decided the 220 is a minimum BHP figure.
My question - as far as I can tell in 2008 the dashboard was drastically improved. What other changes are there between years?
You known John I can’t answer that question specifically but finding an end of era 240 with the newer bodywork would be the ideal purchase IMO. If it mean spending the extra money you have the peace of mind you are buying close to the optimum product of that generation, with the more modern bodywork. Less mods, more satisfaction, lots of driving…
SO yeah 08 dash put airbags in for the passenger, changed clocks to give more shift lights and put the radio central, non of which I’m fussed about.
2010 saw the face lifted body with the new wing and square jaw front.
If it were me I’d get a 240PP car so it had the decent seats and brakes, then mod from there
I prefer the 08 onwards dash but I’m not fussed with 2010 onwards changes.
Would, say, an 07 with extras be a better option, as all an 08 gets me is dash/airbags?
What are essential option/packs?
Have a look on cars for sale here. 6970K has a corker for sale
Seen it but its going to be another 2-3 months before I’m ready to make a choice.

As an '08 buyer I prob biased against the '10 changes just didn’t see them add to the lines.
I waited for '08 dash change as it was much improved layout.
220 is a great car but a factory 240bhp is a better start point if you can extend budget IMHO
07 super touring pack also added the later dash.
