Could someone please give me some advise to help out with some trouble I am having with my insurance company and the repairs carried out to my Lotus Exige.
Some bad driver crashed in to the front driver side of my Lotus Exige and damaged my wheel arch and wheel. At the time the car was being repaired I was told that the insurance company would only pay for replacement cost of the damaged wheel but that I need to replace the other front wheel to ensure traction and safety. I was also told that I should replace the rear wheels as they were less than 50% worn to ensure full traction and safety of the car, but this would be covered under un insured losses.
I have put in for the cost for the 3 tyres and now the insurance company want some text from the Lotus manual or motoring company that recommends that all the wheels should get replace if one is damaged or remaining tyres are less than 50%.
Can anyone help I am useless with this stuff and I don�t know where to start looking for this information. I feel that the insurance companies always have a get out clauses for everything.
