Help Save Motor Racings' Oldest Heritage!

Dear All,

A Plea for Help!

Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb is the oldest motor racing track still in it’s original form, but it’s future hangs in the balance! It is currently leased to the MAC (Midland Automobile Club) of which I am and have been a member for a few years. Unfortunately, the lease is due to come to an end very soon and the MAC are currrently trying extremely hard to raise funds to purchase this piece of English Motor Racing heritage.

As a personal friend of mine, the President of the club has asked me to sell some raffle tickets on his behalf to help achieve their target. The raffle tickets are ONLY 2 each (but it would be helpful if you bought as many as you can!) and the TWO lucky winners will each receive a new Jaguar X Type.

If you feel you can help - please email me your pledges on [email protected] (along with your daytime contact telephone number) by 31st January 2004 and I will contact you to arrange to collect your kind donation and to make sure that the raffle tickets are forwarded to the draw with your correct details.

I do hope you can help, if you’ve ever visited the Shelsley Walsh hill climb (or driven it as I have), you’ll realise why everyboby involved is getting extremely emotional about it.

I look forward to hearing from you, but if you want to find out more in the meantime go to www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk.

Thanks and see you all soon

Giles

P.S - David - I hope this is not considered as a commercial post - as it is intended to be a plea to save some of Motor Racing’s British History!
