My steering rack gaitor is split and I need to remove the rack to replace and inspect it. I have removed everything but the rack wont come out of the housing. There doesnt seem to be enough room to get it out. I have even filed some out of the hole but still no luck. Any ideas please???CheersDale

Cheers for the link, but I had already decided to cut the rivet off anyway!! There was no other way to remove the rack. A hacksaw blade and a pair of mole grips worked a treat. The rack then simply fell out!!
