Help p0172 problems

Sweet thank you i copied it too. How much of the can did you use? The can i got is full anyways

I used the full 600mil tin , spayed it around the mouth first then the into the throttle body in short bursts .

Lucky you bud,…sounds like a cracking evening

Does sound like the MAF sensor. I’ve seen similar problems on my ‘other’ car (nlc), which I traced eventually to a build-up of residues around the air box/throttle body. A good dose of cleaner sorted the issue, same as moomin.

Looking into the cause, it appears to be due to crankcase breathers routed into the airbox. This is standard for emissions control, but over time (or an engine that breathes heavily) the oil from the vapours builds up and coats everything. It’s supposed to simply pass through and burn off, but some cars/engines seem more prone than others to residue forming.

Hey guys used the bg 406 can local garage had a can  got wife to stick her foot on pedal. Took you instructions and its worked!!!

Moomin you are a legend. Nice for a cup of tea !

 glad it worked ,since doing I haven’t had the problem for years now , I did notice throttle response was also snappier after the clean .

 well done fella’s.

Dirty Maf !
