I have an S2 Elise (ex exige owner so dont shout :O)) and it has the LED rear brake lights. The lights are intermittent and a number of the internal leds are now broken and dont come on. I have bought a new set and I am fitting them tomorrow. Does anyone have any previous experience swapping the old LED lights (that have a resistor pack I think) with the later model ones ? Is there any rewiring to do or are they just push fit (fingers crossed) ?
2 minute job, the part “B” lights don’t need the resistors so just unplug them and stick them on eBay for a tenner. I flogged a broken set of LEDs on there as well.
Thanks for the reply. So the connectors just, err, connect then ? No real drama ? What does the resistor pack look like and is plugged in or hard wired ? Sorry for all the questions …
It’s a 6" long bit of wire with connectors each end between the lamp connector and the fixed harness. Stick your head in the boot with a torch and all will become clear in 3 seconds. Everything just plugs in and out.
