As subject. Starter broken and need to come out. Is it really a engine out work or is there another way? Im trying right hand side remove generator etc etc.
Remove inlet manifold ?
Well the SC is on there and bolted from below…
The SC and inlet all come off as one unit.
Which inlet manifold do you have and if its DC5 do you have a CC ?
The problem with DC5 and CC is that the Exige S1 bulhead trim has to come off ( if its fitted ) otherwise you cant extract the complete unit - and you need to undo the inlet steady from underneath - but the bolts holding the inlet to the head are all accessible from above.
I just removed mine so its fresh in my mind !

the biggest job for me was removing that damn bulkhead trim as you need to remove the roof to remove the rear window and to do that you have to undo the rear clam and carefully pull it open to release the roof - I cracked the clam a little doing this as I was so bloody frustrated by that time !
Thanks Andy. Was indeed the right way. I didnt need remove the bulkhead. SC and inlet came right up. Generator and tensioner had to go to make space too. Starter turned out to be fine after a good clean up. Guess all the standing still is no good.
