Hello to all and a noisy top end query

I am not certain but I think Con liked the SC Honda

Con also reminded me that a standard Exige S1 is plenty quick enough down Warwickshire country lanes,…You had quite a lick o’ speed going there matey,…I had to use full throttle sometimes to keep up

Mega - absolutely mega - although passenger rides should be issued with a “wealth warning” as I doubt whether anybody who has a ride in a SC honda who is waivering on the conversion front will do anything but raid their piggy bank as soon as possible.

Thanks for the pax Ben can’t wait now - and it sounded fantastic as you pulled past - at 60 mph officer

Absolute pleasure Con. Glad that I helped make your mind up

If you are going Honda, it is hard to resist the temptation of putting a ‘talent enhancer’ on too (Mark’s term not mine).

Damn - missed a meet! Don’t frequent on here very often. If anyone is around in Leamington/Warwick area again, let me know (probably easier to get me through MLOC)!
Considering Exiges are so common in Leam and Warwick, I’ve hardly seen any of you!!

wow cant believe it not checked the site for a few days and find out not only are Exiges as common as muck around Leamington you all got together.

So anyway this is my me too msg! I am just outside Leam too on road to Gaydon.

Looking forward to next get together if im not working  sat in Amsterdam airport till 5pm today :frowning:

Ric

Tell you what, I have relatives down that way. Next time you plan a meet, I might join you!(From Lancashire)
The Saxon Mill near Warwick;Durham Ox in Shrewley , know them both.Excellent

Guys

Why not go the monthly LDC meeting in Alcester? Great bunch of peeps - many are regulars here. http://www.lotusdriversclub.org.uk/

[quote]Tim,

It did sound very rattly when you left.

Thanks for the tip but after the meet I’m seriously tempted to turn a blind ear and wait for the Honda to arrive…

Ben,
If you would like to complete the exercise of ‘turning’ another K-series to the dark side perhaps you would offer me a trip in your ‘talent enhanced’ machine…I’m already wavering…just a firm push required! When are you around this way again?

Good point Mr P,

come on guys hows about it. Next one is 14th June at the Arrow Mill Hotel in Alcester.

I’m up for it - whos goign to join me ?

As Chairman of LDC I usually go anyway (but I don’t organise this meeting) so will probably be there. There is a BBQ on for the June meeting - phone the hotel to book a meal if you want one - 01789 762419

Just for the record an’ all that :

I am more than happy to take anyone out for a pax ride in my SC Honda. I would however hope they do so with an open mind as part of an objective assessment of which engine option most closely matches their needs. I neither benefit from nor would seek to promote any particular option. For the avoidance of doubt, any pax rides are granted on the express understanding that any sentiment or opinion discussed is my own and as such most applicable to my own context. I would strongly urge anyone considering investment in their powertrain to experience and carefully consider all available options including (but not limited to) Honda, Audi and Rover K-Series derivatives. The power delivered by engine conversions can go up as well as down.
Phew,…that’s my arse covered

I’ll let you know when I am up in Warks Tim. I will defo be at Silverstone for LOTRDC later in the month. I’m sure we could find time for a spin.

Next local meet for all in the Warwick/Leamington area:
Warwick Pub Meet 5th July 7.30pm, The Waterman, Hatton
http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=19432

Thanks Matt,

I’ll pop up to the Waterman on the 5th.

I’m also going to the drivers club meet on the 14th of June if anyone else fancies it.

Con (and others)

I’m in for July 7th - see you all there

Giles

Cool Giles !

Guess it passed the MOT then !

p.s think its the 5th not the 7th !

Don’t forget the Arrow Mill at Alcester tomorrow (Thu 14th) evening.

Will be at the Arrow Mill tommorow for a beverage - no Exige though - battery expired (wont even hold charge). Trusty Peugeot it is - see you there!

Good to hear from you Mike - haven’t seen you since last time we saw each other at the Arrow Mill (possibly getting on for 4 years ago!). See you tommorow.

Giles

Great stuff Giles. It’s a BBQ tomorrow so you need to book in with the hotel if you want to be fed (01789 762419)

I may not be in the Exige because there are three of us… I’ve got a bigger Lotus though so might bring that.
