Hello from a new member and pics of my 240R

Just wanted to say hello to everyone here, been lurking unregistered for a while, now I’ve got my 240 I thought I should say hello.

I’m based down in Southampton and hope to meet up with a few of you on track this year.

Congratulations on the car and welcome - is this your 1st Lotus? What made you go for the 240R?

No this is my forth Lotus, Elise 135, Esprit Sport 350 and breifly an S2 Exige. Decided on the 240 when I was offered a great exchange deal after stupidly asking the dealer the what if question… and the on road frustration with the power band of the standard S2… my last car was a 911 GT2 so I got used to a total excess of power, but sadly without a huge amount of finesse, the 240R seems like a great compromise. Looking forward to seeing what it’s like on track now, but on road it’s stunning!

Yup, just outside Beaulieu. And they are the dealer photo’s at the moment, been too busy driving it to take pictures, doubled the mileage already!

Remember seeing those pics on the Autotrader site…did you get a good deal as that was quite some time ago

I got a deal I was happy with… good deal who knows…

The car was for sale then not then was then not as it was on sale or return and the owner seemed to change his mind a few times…

I’m off to Bedford on Saturday for the first outing and then Abbeville the following week, so hopefully will see some of you there??
